Thankful Thursday

Truffle is thankful she is slim enough to slip through this magazine holder to get to the back of the day bed where Mom Paula can't catch her to give her more flea medication!
Truffle: Try to follow me back here!  MOL!

Mom Paula gave us a couple months break from our monthly flea/tick/heartworm medication because it was so cold...

It's not usually this cold for such a long period of time in the South. We had some really nice weather a couple of weeks ago where it was in the 80s and even some of our Azaleas are blooming. We grew an extra thick winter coat this year and we are beginning to shed like crazy. Mom Paula also decided it was time to begin the monthly treatments again since we tend to have lots of critters around her in the warm weather. We've had extra grooming the last few days (which we don't really like), so we tend to hide when Mom Paula is coming towards us. Mom Paula said something about the cotton field in the hallway...

  4. My human has practically made a career out of getting rid of hiding places that are inaccessible to her! We are allowed to hide and have private time, of course, but she requires us to be reachable if the need arises.

  8. I know ALL the places inaccessible to mom! ALL of them. Lately if she can, she makes it 60% easier on herself by closing all the bedroom doors. When I get under the oak bed frames, it's all over for her.

  9. Yes, we've had to have our fluffs brushed out more lately too! And then it got cold again! Make up your mind weather! It takes time and effort to grow those lovely furs!

  10. There are only a couple spots I can't reach the cats ... Ellie's gained quite a bit of weight since she came to live with us - the only good thing about that is that she doesn't fit under the bed in the second bedroom anymore!
