Static Kitty

We know it's cold all up the East coast which means the heat is on in the house more. We don't think our heating unit has stopped for the last two weeks with this cold. The girls are hesitant taking treats from Mom Paula because they get a little "shock" from the static. Last night. Brulee jumped up on the suitcase and her fur was sticking straight out! It made her look twice as big as she is!
Brulee - the Original Static Kitty

The photo isn't as clear as we usually like to share because of the low light in the bedroom, but her fur sticking out was too precious not to share.

Stay warm. It's supposed to get in the 60s and possibly 70s later this week for us.

  1. She looks so cute! I tend to generate a lot of static and often when I stroked Flynn, I would make his fur crackle.

  2. I try to remember not to touch my cat Jake on the nose, because I shock him. I can't wait for a little warm up. We're looking at 40's and 50's Thursday and Friday in Massachusetts.

  7. We are pretty sparky here too! The house is so dry we get zapped sometimes. We are glad it is getting more humid tomorrow.

  8. Wow, that’s quite the fur-do. Our furs have been all staticky too...’specially Zoey’s.

  9. Wow, Brulee, that is a lot of static! We have a lot of that here too. Sometimes when one of the animals moves around on the bed at night, I can see the sparks in the dark!

  10. Ichiro has been shocking himself for two weeks now, poor guy. He rubs his chin against something and gets a shock and then he goes around mewing because he's annoyed he can't rub anything...
