Friday at the Movies - Nip and Bones Review

We are so excited.  We were notified a couple of weeks ago that we were selected to be members of Baby Patches' Tester Team for products at Nip and Bones.  As a member of the tester team, we received the product(s) for free to review.  The new item we received was the Spot Catnip Booster Ball.
Truffle checking out the catnip before placing it in the ball.

The Catnip Booster Ball grinds up catnip and releases oils for a more potent fragrance.  Baby Patches also sent us a bag of Realcats Organic Catnip to put in the catnip ball.  This catnip is handpicked and labeled with real customer's cats.  Of course, Truffle grabbed the catnip bag and tried to take off with it before Mom Paula could put the catnip in the ball.

The instructions were pretty easy and were located on the back of the package.  You had to use a coin (a dime worked best) to unscrew the cap at the top of the catnip ball.  We poured the catnip in the top of the ball.  Mom Paula had to be careful because she spilled some of the catnip on the floor while doing this.  Of course, we didn't care!  Once you filled the top of the ball with catnip, you pressed the two halves together and twisted the two halves back and forth to grind the catnip.  We think Mom Paula may have put a little too much catnip in the top because she had a little trouble at first twisting the two halves back together.  She then gave the ball to us to test.
This was the catnip ball prior to pressing the two halves together.  Notice, it definitely has Truffle's attention.

Truffle went crazy over the catnip booster ball.  Mom Paula closed all of the doors in the hallway for us to check out the ball.  Truffle basically "hogged" the catnip booster ball.  She liked the sound it made when it hit and walls and she loved the potent catnip flavor.  The only thing she wasn't able to do was pick up the ball in her mouth and carry it away.  We don't know if it's because of her flatter face or if the ball isn't designed to be carried.  The catnip booster ball was definitely a hit with Truffle!  She's batted it all over the house.

Truffle hogging the ball from Brulee

Brulee basically just sniffed the ball and gave it a couple of whaps.  This isn't really anything against the ball because  Brulee doesn't really get excited over catnip.  She did get interested when Truffle was playing with it (at the end of the video) but that's only because Truffle had it.

In order for you to see how much of a hit the catnip booster ball was, we've provided a video for you.  Notice how Truffle "hogs" the ball, but she allows Brulee to check it out at the end of the video.  We really appreciate Baby patches allowing us to be a Baby Patches Tester Team member and sent us this item for free to review.

  3. Hmm... Ichiro might go wild for that. Then again he might not. Not to mention that someone in the house never bothers to refill toys like that with what they are supposed to be filled with...

  5. The Gs would never touch it as they do not enjoy any hard plastic balls or anything that jingles for that matter. Such sour pusses they are! But they do enjoy their nip in the condo!

You gals are so floofalicious! And I'm still slayed by Brulee's ear tufts. Every. Single. Time. srsly.
