Fox Action with the FroliCat® Fox Den by PetSafe®

Do your cats like to play games where they can satisfy their instincts of hunting and catching?  Does your human's arms ever get tired from trying to play with wand toys or other interactive toys before the cats are tired?  Do  you wish you could get a toy that is automatic and will help your cat satisfy their hunting instincts?  Do we have a new toy for you!

Brulee waiting to attack the fox tail

We love the interactive toys from PetSafe®. We've reviewed some of these toys in the past and they are always a hit.  One of the newest toys from PetSafe is the FroliCat® Fox Den Automatic Cat Toy. The Fox Den is a motion activated toy that allows your cat(s) to play all day, even if you are not at home. There is a fuzzy fox tail that pops out, shakes, and then hides again, which intrigues your cat's hunting instinct. The Fox Den has a "Play All Day" mode that allows your cat to play all day in 10-minute increments. The Fox Den will run for 10 minutes and turn off in "One Time" mode. The Fox Den requires three AA batteries. The Fox Den was very easy to set up and specific instructions for the different modes of play can be found here.   The FroliCat Fox Den is very affordable for cat parents and retails for $19.99.

FroliCat® Fox Den Features with Brulee

Truffle was a little indifferent to the Fox Den the first few times and we think that's because she wasn't feeling well during our initial review. Brulee sat off to the side for a few minutes and then she couldn't help herself. She attacked the fox tail as it whipped in and out of the den.  I like the fact that the Fox Den will turn off after 10 minutes, which is usually the amount of time the girls play with toys. Even though Truffle and Brulee are Persians who usually like to lie around the house and look beautiful, they still need exercise and activity. Sometimes, this is difficult to provide because of my full time job which requires a lot of travel and long hours of work.  This toy provides interaction for the girls, which can keep them out of mischief while I'm gone.

FroliCat by PetSafe pet toys are a part of Radio Systems® Corporation and they help provide fun toys for the ultimate interactive play for cats. All FroliCat toys are designed to engage cats in enthusiastic play. It was fun to watch Brulee twist and roll to capture the fox tail. Radio Systems is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee and leads the industry in the development of innovative pet behavioral, containment, and lifestyle products and services.
Brulee wants to know if you'd like to have  your very own Fox Den!

  2. While I love playing with my cats, I have three dogs and three cats, plus a house to take care of. I can't play with everyone 24/7. One of my cats is old and having some medical issues (she's doing much, MUCH better) and has never really liked playing (she's a snuggler). However, the other two cats do love to play and unless they are occupied, will sometimes bother my old girl, trying to get her to play with them. A toy like this would help because it would keep the two younger cats entertained when I can't play with them, and hopefully keep them from bothering my older girl.

  8. That looks like a crazy tail? Do the get mad when they can't actually have it and it goes back inside? Seems like it might be frustrating. Buckwheat would be interested in it for a few minutes at least. He likes chasing things, so I'm not too sure about it.

    1. I believe it really mimics prey in the fact that it escapes. As you can tell from the video, Brulee was able to capture it.

  15. That looks really awesome! I've seen plenty of toys with tails that move, but never one that gets sucked back in and disappears. That's a great idea. Sees like your cats loved it too :)
