Getting Into Mischief

Even though we are indoor only kitties, all of this rain is making us "stir-crazy" and Truffle is up to her mischievous self.  Mom Paula had a major report due last Friday and finally completed the 2016 Cat Calendar yesterday, so there was all kind of "junk" where Truffle usually supervises.
What do you mean I can't get into this?  It's in my way!

There are still problems surrounding us with flooding because many of the damns from the local lakes and ponds are giving away.  Much of Columbia doesn't have water and those who do are told to boil it before using it.  Mom Paula's office is closed again today due to the danger of the roads and the lack of water.  We like having her home with us, but she also needs to make the green papers to keep us in the life style we're accustomed to living.

Update on Brulee:

We did not go to the vet yesterday because of the dangerous roads.  To our surprise, our vet, Dr. Keisler, called Mom Paula yesterday to check on Brulee.  She was reviewing the x-rays and bloodwork and said there was really nothing to worry about and there was no need to bring us in unless things got worse.  Dr. Keisler is going to order some l-lysine for us to take to see if we can get rid of this virus.  Thank you for all of your purrs, prayers, and good thoughts.

2016 Cat Calendar

Mom Paula completed the cat calendar yesterday and has submitted it to the publisher.  She's ordered a proof copy and it should be here in about 7-10 days.  Once everything is finalized, we'll share the link to order your full-color weekly planner.  Here's a sneak peek at the cover, which was designed by our friend, Ann, from Zoolatry and a couple of the collages in the calendar.  Mom Paula added the gold frame around the cover so it wouldn't blend in with the background.  We're really excited to share this with everyone in a couple of weeks.

  9. We are glad to hear that Brulee is doing okay. If your mom doesn't already know, you can purchase l-lysine capsules from Amazon for a great price. You just open the capsule and sprinkle the powder on wet food. That's what we do - Carmine and Lita get l-lysine everyday, and it has really helped keep the herpes virus away!

We hope your mom's office opens soon so she can go make the green papers. We know how necessary those are! Please stay safe, friends.
