Father's Day

We're very lucky that we know who our daddycat is.  Even though we're 11 weeks apart in age and have different mommykitties, we do have the same daddycat, Jayden.  Jayden is a handsome silver shaded Persian.  He's retired from breeding now and living a very happy and comfortable life in Mt. Pleasant, SC.  We thought we'd share a Sunday Selfie Collage of the three of us to honor Father's Day.

Mom Paula is so thankful her dad is still alive and lives within five miles from her.  He's had some health issues lately and recently turned 82.  She knows how important it is to enjoy every moment she has with him and is thankful for all the things he's done for her and how he's supported her even if he disagreed.
Mom Paula, Grandpa Paul, Grandma Faye

Happy Father's Day to all of the daddy cats and human daddies out there.  We know there are some of  your human parents who no longer have their fathers here on Earth with them.  We offer our comforting thoughts and purrayers as they remember that special male in their lives today.

It is wonderful to still have your parents around...enjoy, just like you are...when they're gone, you will remember the funny things they did and said.

  18. Oh Daddycat Jayden is furry handsome! We didn't know you girls were half-sisters. And you Grandpa Paul is a Shriner! Our Grandpa Art was a Shriner too. Tell your mom that our grandpa was Potentate of Kosair Temple (in Louisville KY) back in the 70s, and he was also President of the South Eastern Shrine Association in the 80s. Only me and Sable knew him. He crossed the Bridge in late August 2004.

    1. Grandpa Paul was Potentate of Jamil Shrine Temple in Columbia, SC in 1988. He was also the President of the South Atlantic Shrine Association (probably in the 90s). His name is Paul Gregg. We bet he knew your Grandpa.

  19. This was the purrfect Father's Day post. We are so happy that you know your actual kitty dad and that Mom Paula still has her dad. None of us, either human or cat, can say either of those things. Thanks so, so much for being part of this special blog hop.
