Purring for Bandit

We were going to give you a summary of Truffle's vet visit yesterday, but we're really worried about our woofie cousin, Bandit.  Bandit belongs to Grandma Faye and he's the first pet she's ever had. Bandit is a Shih Tzu mix and is 7 years old.  Bandit had to be rushed to the emergency vet last Friday because of vomiting and an inability to poop.  The vet said his colon was packed.  They gave him some medicine and told Grandma Faye to feed him some pumpkin.  They had to take Bandit back to the vet yesterday because he's still having problems and they may want to do surgery on him. Grandma Faye loves Bandit but she said she can't afford to pay for any surgery.  Please purr, woof, and pray that Bandit is better really soon.  We don't want to lose him.

  2. Sending purrs for Bandit - Charlie had that issue once when we were changing his diet to manage his IBD symptoms...thankfully it was only the once. I was a helicopter mum watching his every move.

  6. Lots of purrs and prayers and love to Bandit!

We are sure you already know this, but please don't forget that there are organizations that will help with finances (even giving you money) to help cover life-saving surgeries/procedures for pets. I can dig up my list if you'd like to look into that. And there's gofundme where you can setup a campaign to raise the funds for the surgery, too. I know that most of us hate asking for financial assistance, but there are a lot of kind people who are willing to give.

We pray that something works out for the sweet puppy!

  7. Praying for Bandit! Please if he needs surgery - look into the list from Fur Everywhere or start a gofundme... - Another idea - You can talk to your vet about applying for a Care Credit account so that you can do the surgery and then pay the Care Credit account with a gofundme website.

  17. Dakota and I are sending woofs, licks and purrs and prayers!!! I was backed up once and had to be "expressed", then it was "all systems go!" Mom has me on pumpkin whenever I am taking prednisonol (which I am taking now), cause we think the pred was the culprit! Feel better soon! xoxo
