Let Us In

Quite a few boxes and bags have arrived at our house the past few days.  Mom Paula has to put the plastic bags away because we love to lick on them which often leads to chewing on them.  Truffle gave Mom Paula quite a scare last night.  She thought Truffle was trying to get rid of a hair ball because she was hacking the previous day.  When Mom Paula came home last night, she saw what she thought was a hairball on the wood floor.  When she picked it up, she realized it was a piece of packing tape that had been on one of the boxes.  Undoubtedly, Truffle chewed a piece off of one of the boxes.  Mom Paula is watching her closely, but Truffle is eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom with no problems, so she appears to be okay.  However, to keep this from happening again, especially during this holiday season with all of the packages, we were faced with this in our hallway.
Brulee:  Why is this door closed?  This is my room!

We can't understand why the entrance to our guest bedroom is closed.  Brulee likes to sleep on top of the folded clothes on the bed (we know, they need to be washed again).  Mom Paula says the door will stay closed until everything is wrapped and all of the bags, ribbons, and tape are put away.  We have other ideas, though.
Brulee:  Let me in!!!

  1. That is so unfair. I love plastic myself and I would hate it if I was prevented from going in a room. In fact, I would howl at the top of my lungs until I was let in. Or let Ichiro do it. Much easier on my vocal cords...

  2. Nobody here is that big on plastic, which is a relief to my human. String, on the other hand, needs to be hidden away!

  5. We are very glad Truffle seems to be OK. Those tapes and plastics and ribbons are so tempting. My weakness is curling ribbon.

    We love your Christmas header!

  8. Mom Paula has seen first hand how small our condo is. Lucky us, we rarely have doors closed. Mom Peggy has to get pretty creative in keeping us out of stuff.

  11. Truffle is a girl after Cody's heart! I have to put ALL packages that are unopened in our bedroom closet with the door shut because Cody does the exact same thing! I am always so nervous about it!

  15. Well Girls, when you try to eat the packaging, sometimes ya have ta be protected from it. TBT has a special metal cage he keeps all that stuff in that we cant get into (even when there is like turkey skin in it). It smells great in there, but we havent figured out how ta break into it yet.

  16. Our Mom hides all the bags and boxes from us as well. We must examine and explore efurrything. We know some of those bags contain Secret Paws gifts, which we would really like to get our paws on. We too hate closed doors!
