Many of you have commented about our floof lately and have wondered about how much time Mom Paula takes to groom us. Keeping our floof beautiful is a lot of hard work on both our part and Mom Paula's part.
It begins each morning with giving ourselves a bath. So far, Mom Paula hasn't given us a bath, but we know the time will come and we're dreading it (so is Mom Paula!). We can't believe Mom Paula is sharing this photo of us not looking our best!
Mom Paula keeps a comb, some toenail clippers, and one of our Furminators beside her bed. Before we even get out of the bed in the morning, she combs us and looks for mats. The Furminator is great for helping to get those nasty mats out. Brulee is most relaxed first thing in the morning and she will allow Mom Paula to groom her (we're still working on trimming the claws, though).
At night, Mom Paula uses a pin cushion brush on us. We tolerate that much better than the comb. Once again, she may need to use the Furminator to remove some mats. She also tries to trim our claws in the evening, but that usually ends up being a 3-day job because we're not very patient for the nail clipping. Sometimes, we're not very cooperative with her and she has to groom us a 3rd time during the day or just wait until the next day. We let her know when we've had enough! Truffle tends to "nip" at her and Brulee just squeals like a pig! MOL.
The result are below!
Would you believe we have over 50 pictures for the ball on Saturday? Mom Paula is going to work on the post tonight. If you'd still like to participate and have your picture posted on Saturday, you can send us a picture by 5:00 p.m. EST and we'll include it. We hope we don't forget anyone. We've tried to respond to everyone when we've received a picture and successfully downloaded it. If you haven't received a confirmation from us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
